Once unfolded there are five separate compartments

The Packsmart is an impressive versatile piece of luggage. It sits like a traditional rucksack, then folds out into a multi-compartment holdall that can easily slide under your bedchair.

Like all of the System Select range, it has a lifetime warranty, which is an incredibly impressive boast for an item that will see a lot of abuse. We will report back with a long-term test once we've had one on the bank, but the quality of the water-resistant fabric and stitching certainly makes the warranty seem anything but a risky claim at first blush.

Although the Packsmart's big selling point is its Transformer-like ability to morph into a collection of zip-off modules, Wychwood hasn't crimped on its primary use as a rucksack. The straps are wide and comfortable, with a stash-away rain cover, and the back section is luxuriously padded.

We are seriously impressed by this product and reckon the £75 asking price represents good value. Its longevity has yet to be tested, but the lifetime warranty makes this, and the other System Select items, very attractive indeed.
