Wychwood is carving out a mighty fine reputation for its bankware at the moment, and this two-in-one product only enhances that standing.

Available in two sizes to fit most banksticks on the market, the Stage Stand/Stabiliser can be used as a stage stand and a bankstick stabiliser.

Just three components but two uses

As a stage stand, it acts as a cup that screws into wooden platform swims and holds your banksticks in place.

It's a simple theory, but not all stage stands are created equal. Screw choice is important and thankfully the ones supplied here are perfect, with a pointed tip and an aggressive thread. The knurled thumbscrew also locks your banksticks in nice and tight.

Where this product delivers its added value is in its ability to be used as a stabiliser. If you're in a boggy swim or fishing locked up then adding an extra prong to your bankstick to hold it firmly in the ground is a godsend.

Simply turn what was the stage stand on its side and screw in the stabilising prong and you're good to go.

As with all Wychwood bankware these aluminium products come with a five-year warranty and are very nicely finished with subtle logos.

The Wide version will fit banksticks of 15.5mm-17.5mm diameter, while the Slims one caters for 12.5mm-14mm banksticks.
