Hot off the press, these new joggers and shorts are perfect for this time of year as warm days give way to increasingly chilly evenings, writes Marc Coulson.

The slightly heavier material, similar to ESP’s original and hugely popular joggers, is ideal for coping with the rigours that carp anglers put their clothing through.

The attention to detail throughout is typical of ESP, with hand warmer pockets, hidden cargo pockets and a modern but comfortable cut on both garments.

Obviously, the waist (and ankles in the case of the joggers) are elasticated and sizings are about right with a large genuinely being a large, unlike some clothing companies.

I particularly like the fact that these, although they look very carpy, are out-and-out fishing garments, with anglers’ needs and longevity coming before fashion.

I cringe when I see what some people wear on the bank. Then again, never mind the fishing, you just don’t know when the chance of a good selfie might come along!
