FIRST-LOOK REVIEW: Solar Tackle SP Barrow/Ruck Bag [VIDEO]

One of the standout products at the launch of Solar’s 2018 range was the SP Barrow/Ruck bag.

Usable either as a lay-flat barrow bag or rucksack, it’s the details that are most interesting.

RRP: £99.99 | www.solartackle.co.uk

Firstly, the rucksack straps are attached and detached via a very clever quick-release system, and can be stored inside a shallow pocket on the front.

The front ‘lid’ is also stiffened for use as a makeshift bivvy table  or to withstand the weight of other items when stacked on a barrow.

The whole unit is waterproof, with a really sturdy EVA base, and all external pockets are double zipped.

A matching range of modular luggage (sold separately) fits snugly inside, while the unique fold-flat internal organisers (included) are seriously impressive. They provide a rigid structure for all your bits, but can fold flat in an instant if not needed.

The colour of the SP Barrow/Ruck bag is also just right – a darker shade than many of the greens on the market.
