A group of UK-based Lithuanian carp anglers are toasting another successful event and looking forward to their summer gathering.
Fourteen members of Lithuanian Carp Anglers in the UK (LCAUK) met at Walthamstow Reservoirs last month for a friendly 48-hour match.
The group, who are all catch-and-release advocates who aim to educate other Lithuanian anglers in the UK, caught a total of 577lb from the London venue during the two-night event last month.
The biggest fish, a 29lb common, fell to Dmitry Ivanov on a CC Moore Northern Special mounted on a Ronnie rig.
Giedrius Paskauskas took overall top spot with 121lb, while Lukas Balkevicius, the newly elected president of the club, came second with 100lb 3oz.
Tomas Atstupenas had the surprise of the weekend with a 15lb bream.
The group, which can be found on Facebook, will next convene on July 7-9 at Stanwick Lakes in Northamptonshire.
