It was a birthday to remember for Craig McEvoy as he banked 15 fish at a popular Midlands day-ticket venue – using an underrated tactic.
Fishing Monument Two on the RH Fisheries site in Shropshire, Craig toasted his 40th birthday with three 30s and 10 20s on the method feeder.
Craig, who was fishing to a clay bar at 60yds from peg one, banked a 31lb 12oz common known as EE, a 33lb 15oz mirror called Molly and a 36lb 8oz mirror he was allowed to name Daddy Mac.
He told Carpfeed: “The fishing was a relaxed affair with the emphasis on having a good time rather than intensity, but the fish were determined to regularly interrupt and made for an epic session.”
Craig fished Dynamite Monster Tigernut pop-ups and moulded scalded pellets and corn doused in krill oil around his feeders.
