Teenager Luke Mallett barely slept during a five-night session which produced 50 carp.
The 16-year-old, who is rapidly making a name for himself in South Wales carp circles, fished Fendrod Lake in Swansea and caught fish to 27lb 6oz.
The Bridgend youngster said: “I arrived at the lake just before dark on Tuesday night and set up in a swim in the middle of the lake after seeing fish showing.
“I decided to put a lot of bait in to start, hoping they’d get on it, and within a couple of hours they sure did.
“The session kept kicking off every night and I landed 50 fish in total after using about 20kg of bait all together and having got hardly any sleep!”
Fishing all three rods at 84yds, Luke introduced an initial dozen Spombs of chopped Sticky Manilla boilies and particles, then fished Manilla snowman rigs over the top.
His 8ins blowback rigs featured size 4 RM-Tec Curve Shank hooks and 20lb Korda Dark Matter hooklinks.
