Simon Kenny has done it again with another incredible haul of Horton Church Lake carp.
The 34-year-old bagged 13 fish including five over 40lb at the famous Berkshire water for the second time in two weeks.
Last month his haul featured five 30s, four 40s and a 52-pounder, and he was at it again during a seven-night stay that yielded five 40s to 48lb 4oz and five 30s.
“When I had my 13-fish hit a couple of weeks ago I truly thought that it was a one off and I’d never repeat it, but amazingly I’ve had yet another 13 fish with five of them over 40lb.
“The Church Lake really is an amazing place and it blessed me yet again. Thirteen might be unlucky for some but not for me lately.”
Simon fished for seven nights, though blanked for the first three in the One Up swim before moving back to the Plateau swim that had served him so well before.
His amazing tally included Hercules at 48lb 4oz, the Cossack at 42lb 8oz, Chips at 42lb 6oz, Uno at 42lb and a grass carp weighing 41lb 6oz.
He also caught the Little Leather at 39lb 1oz and Jaws at 38lb 12oz. Another of his haul was an old former Longfield fish known as the Thick Tail Common at 33lb 6oz.
The Norfolk angler baited with five Spombs of Sticky Manilla boilies after each fish or when line bites ceased and fished Manilla White Ones pop-ups over the top on combi rigs tied with 20lb ESP Tungsten Loaded, 25lb ESP Bristle Filament and size 5 Fox Straight Point Stiff Rig hooks.
