New record and first 40 for Bluebell Lakes water

Arguably the most underrated lake on a popular day-ticket complex has produced its first 40-pounder.
This 41lb 6oz common set a new lake record on Sandmartin at Bluebell Lakes near Peterborough when it was caught by Steve Wright.
He told carpfeed.com: “I had a stunning 37lb 6oz mirror two weeks ago, and then last week I had another stunner. This time a common and a new lake record at 41lb 6oz. It was the first forty ever out of the lake.”
Steve fished just 10 yards out on a clear spot in the weed. He presented a 12mm Frank Warwick Miracle Berry pop-up over a bed of crushed Spotted Fin Cataylst boilies.
He fished a hinge stiff rig made with a size 8 Nash Fang hook and FinSkin hooklength.
