The Hull angler was visiting Bluebell Lakes in Northamptonshire and had decided to target Kingfisher for a 72-hour session.

He said: “After managing to get a few fish feeding in the marginal snags during the afternoon I waited until I was 100-per-cent sure they had vacated the area before slipping on the waders and walking a bait into position.”
