Moving across the lake worked for Darren Norman as he banked this 40lb 10oz common as part of a three-fish hit.
Fishing an exclusive Kent syndicate, the 45-year-old had already landed a 29lb 8oz mirror when he decided it would be better to move.
The Rochester angler said: “It was a great trip.
“I started off on one side of the lake in my second-choice swim and managed the mirror on the first morning.
“At midday the swim opposite became free and as it was less weedy I thought I would have a better chance of landing anything I hooked, so I moved.
“It paid off and five hours later, after a great scrap, I landed a 40lb 10oz common.
“The next morning I had my last bite resulting in a mint 27lb 14oz common.”
Darren fed 4kg of chopped Sticky Krill, Bloodworm pellets and mixed particles, and fished Krill wafters on hinged stiff rigs over the top.
