Here’s what 92lb 2oz of common carp looks like.
The colossal fish, which is known as Scar, was caught at the famous Rainbow Lake in southern France.
The fish is thought to be the current biggest resident of the snaggy, island-infested water, also known as Lac de Curton. It was banked by Dominik van den Eijkhof, who was fishing alongside fellow Dutchman Frank Wijnands.
The common weighed 41.8kg, which converts to just over 92lb 2oz. It took a snowman rig made with a 20mm Dynamite Complex-T bottom bait and a 15mm Complex-T Fluro pop-up.
Set in Yorkshire in 1994, a British film about a group of youngsters going carp fishing will be released in cinemas next month
