One of Korda's latest products has been recalled due to potential fish-safety concerns.
Managing director Damian Clarke issued an announcement on social media, asking anglers to return the items to the shop they bought them from for a full refund.
Both the new Heli-Safe Tubing Kit and the Spare Tungsten Beads for use with the system have been recalled "as a precautionary measure" because some of the beads are too tight to slide off safely.
The kits had been released to allow anglers to fish drop-off helicopter rigs on waters with a leader ban.
Damian wrote today [May 17]: "It has come to our attention that some of the Tungsten Beads – designed to fit snugly onto rig tube in the new Heli-Safe tubing kit have suffered an issue during the manufacturing process.
"This has effected the movement of the bead, disabling one of its main benefits and safety features.
"A number of the beads are now too tight when used on Dark Matter Rig Tube, creating a potential safety issue with the setup.
"As a precautionary measure, we are REMOVING the Heli-Safe Tubing kit and Spare Tungsten Beads from sale with IMMEDIATE EFFECT until we can replace the stock.
"Our priority has and always will be to ensure carp remain safe with anglers when using our products, something we take very seriously.
"If you wish to return your Heli-Safe tubing kit to your retailer they will be happy to issue a full refund. All Tackle shops are being notified and will be ready to deal with your returns within the next 24 hours.
"We thank you for your understanding and hope to have the replacement stock back ASAP."
