Kempy's Lin sets new lake record at Linear Manor Farm

The mighty Kempy’s Linear has set a new lake record at Manor Farm on the Linear Fisheries complex.

Chip Sheerin caught the big mirror at a top weight of 49lb 10oz during a 48-hour session at the Oxfordshire day-ticket lake.

It was the only bite of the session for the 29-year-old, who was fishing alongside cousin Jimmy Sheerin.

Jimmy told Carpfeed: “Chip was in the Life Buoy swim and scattered 15mm Sticky Krill boilies 40 to 50 yards out.

“Fish started showing 24 hours into the session, so he reeled in and put fresh solid PVA bags out with Krill pellets, and then at midnight he had a slow take.

“The fish came in nicely, but little did he realise he had the lake record at 49lb 10oz!”

Chip, from Cheltenham, fished D rigs made with size 6 Korda hooks.

Great fish, shame about the pic!
