Kelly's first session brings elusive upper 30

Kelly Crush’s first session on her new syndicate water produced a fish which hadn’t been caught for three years.

The big mirror weighed in at 38lb 12oz and is now known as Kelly’s Fish.

The 35-year-old said of her debut trip to the Kent venue: “Of course I wanted to know the biggest fish that was in there and I was told there was a mirror that will be high 30s but had not been out in three years.

“I started fishing at 11am and got snagged on a tree on a few casts so I just cast two wraps away from there in open water.

“It was a great fight and an epic fish – I was so pleased.

“Two other men were fishing and came to see my capture. They could not believe it, and she’s now known as Kelly’s Fish!”

The Tunbridge Wells angler continued fishing the same spot and had mirrors of 24lb and 26lb, plus a 21lb common.
