Kev Hewitt broke his common personal best twice in an hour as he managed four 40s in a session.
The England international bagged the quartet in around 24 hours from Swan Lake on the Bluebell complex as part of a run of seven fish over the 40lb mark in just three sessions.
The Swindon angler told Carpfeed: “At the beginning of the year I set my targets on catching a personal-best common and I achieved that with a 41lb 6oz fish from Bluebell Swan a few weeks ago.
“This new pb only lasted an hour as it was totally blown away with this 46lb common, and was followed shortly by my third 40 of the morning in the shape of a 41lb mirror.
“The following morning I landed my fourth 40 of the trip, a mirror called the parrot at 41lb 8oz.
The ESP and CC Moore-backed angler, who fished fake corn on Ronnie rigs, added: “I decided to head over to Kingfisher on the Bluebell complex for my next couple of sessions and was rewarded with another three 40s, including a couple of really special fish, but that's a story for another time.”
The sessions were filmed by ESP and the first installment can be watched below. Part two arrives later this week.
