A professional footballer took his mind off a relegation battle with a three-fish catch at Linear Fisheries.
Swindon Town forward Luke Norris bagged two fish in an hour shortly after setting up at Hunt’s Corner on the Oxfordshire complex.
The 23-year-old, who has netted six goals this season, said: “I arrived for a short overnighter and decided on fishing Hunt’s Corner Lake.
“While on a lap of the lake I spotted some fish showing up the top end along the reeds, so jumped straight in and cast some solid PVA bags to where the fish were showing.
“I had my first take within half an hour, which turned out to be a lovely 17lb 8oz mirror. Then, an hour later, I had another run and that turned out to be a 29lb mirror.”
The former Brentford and Gillingham man, whose current side are in the League One relegation zone, was then made to wait for his final fish of the session.
“I had one at first light while packing up and heading to work,” said Luke, “and that was an 18lb 1oz common.”
Luke presented CC Moore Dairy Supreme pop-ups in solid PVA bags filled with Hinders Pellet Combo.
