An overnight session on the River Trent produced five carp for Rob Brown.
The 33-year-old from Nottingham baited lightly on the famous river and was rewarded with a succession of fish topped by this 23lb 7oz common.
He said: "I turned up on Friday for a quick overnighter and after putting 50 or so freebies out I got my rods in place.
"I went on to land five carp, this being the biggest at 23lb 7oz.
"The middle rod took off and a 15-minute battle ensued before I slipped it over the cord."
Rob baited with 18mm Redemption boilies from 3ft Twitch and used a line aligner rig made with a size 6 wide-gape hook from Bank Tackle.
