A weekend session at Coking Farm Fishery produced one of the site’s biggest carp.
Mitch Andow bagged this mirror known as Ruby at 35lb 15oz during his 36-hour session on Woodland Lake at the Dorset day-ticket complex.
“I was fishing only seven wraps out towards an island,” said the 22-year-old from Bristol. “I cast about a rod length back from the island at the bottom of the shelf.
“It’s a fish known as Ruby and is the lake’s second-biggest resident.”
Having baited with 15mm DNA Nuttas boilies, Mitch presented a mixture of 10mm DNA PB and Milky Malt hookbaits.
He mounted two 10mm pop-ups on Ronnie rigs and also caught a 14lb 2oz fish.
