Teenager Luke Mallett has once again shown his prowess on the Cardiff Wharf with the capture of this 43lb 6oz mirror.
The 16-year-old, who is a regular hauler at the urban venue, bagged five fish in three nights, topped by Pawprint at a new pb weight.
The Bridgend angler said: “I arrived at the Wharf late in the afternoon on Tuesday. I did a lap and found a lot of fish in a weedy area of the lake.
“I got set up and was rewarded quickly with a stunning linear. The session kept ticking over and after a bit of a bad run of losing a few fish I was rewarded with Pawprint at 43lb 6oz. It’s a recapture for me but a new pb.”
Luke fished Sticky Manilla wafters over matching boilies, hemp and corn. He used slip-D rigs made with RidgeMonkey hooks and coated braid.
