Ash Geden reaped the rewards of heavily prebaiting a stretch of the River Thames when he banked a quartet of fish to 41lb 4oz.
The big mirror is his third over 40lb from the river since last summer.
After piling in a mix of Dynamite Baits Complex-T boilies, betaine and halibut pellets, chilli tiger nuts, hemp, maize, pulses and particles, he returned for a 36-hour session and landed two fish on each of two consecutive mornings.
As well as the big mirror, he also caught fish of 23lb 2oz and 22lb 2oz, in addition to an 8-pounder.
All the fish fell to Complex-T hardened hookbaits that had been heavily glugged in Worm Liquid, and were tipped with fluro barrel boilies.
“I’ve been using 20lb Amnesia D-rigs with sharpened straight-pointed chod pattern hooks,” Said Ash. “The hookholds were that solid I could have played the fish until next season! They weren’t dropping off!”
