Callum Boyle battled the elements to bank 11 carp in five nights at Linear St John’s.

The 28-year-old managed two 30s, six 20s and three doubles – plus a 40lb-plus catfish – at the popular Oxfordshire day-ticket water.

Callum, from Stockport, fished on the Social Bank and targeted an area just in front of a gravel bar at 80yds.

The picks of the bunch were a 33lb 2oz common and a 31lb 8oz mirror. He also managed two commons over 26lb.

The floor-layer told Carpfeed: “After a tough start with challenging weather including heavy rain, gail-force winds, periods of heavy sleet and even bits of snow, I stuck to my guns and kept persevering.

“I ended up having a good session overall, with 12 bites, landing 11 carp.”
