Day-ticket carp waters have boomed in the last 20 years, but they are certainly not the only place to get your fishing fix.
Joining a club has many advantages over pay-and-go lakes, and many of them are stocked with impressive carp.
Plenty of clubs can be joined for around £50 a year, meaning you can fish as much as you want for the cost of a weekend at a premium day-ticket complex.
That ability to regularly visit the water – whether you’re fishing or just observing – is also what makes club venues so special. You’ll soon get acquainted with familiar faces and gain an affinity with your surroundings, and the fish!
